Bucket o' Greens for Christmas!

Some of us have that special flair. Some of us (I’m not one of them) make awe-inspiring holiday

decorations and floral arrangements with one hand tied behind our backs. This simple bucket of greens, which you can use indoors or out, is perfect for the rest of us, and you’re bound to get a few oohs and ahhs!

What do you need to get started? Here’s the list.

  • A large bucket. A wood bucket is fine, but an old metal bucket will reflect the light. Avoid plastic if you plan to use Christmas lights (and you should definitely use Christmas lights!).

  • A string or two of Christmas lights. Battery-powered lights are ideal, but you can also use regular plug-in lights.

  • A bunch of evergreen branches – pine, juniper, etc. This is a good use for those branches you trimmed from the bottom of the Christmas tree.

  • Pine cones

  • Anything else that strikes your fancy, i.e. shiny Christmas balls, glitter, etc.

Arrange the greenery in the bucket, and then weave the lights around the branches. Add shiny Christmas balls, pine cones, glitter, strings of beads, etc.

To maximizei the glow, try to arrange the lights near the shiny objects.

That’s all threre is to it!
